This picture was taken from my cab when we did a 4-cab ride from Embassy Suites.  These ladies were in town for Home & Garden Tours.

Business has been steady for the  last week and it's good to be making some bucks again.  Our biggest problem this year has been global cooling....I have not left the house without long sleeves yet this year.  In our business when the warm sunshine comes out it's like turning on the ride switch.

Bike Taxi

My new bike taxi turns over 600 miles this week.  I took a lot of flack for my pig horn--you have to look close at the picture--from the kids at first, until I started asking them for their moms phone number.  Notice the Brooks Seat which was designed by the Devil as his premium product and intended as a introduction to Hell.  In addition there is a 1.4"  front tire--standard is 2"--which works fine since most of the weight is on the fat asses in the back.  I've been riding this girl across the James Island Connector most days so that I get a good work-out even on slow days.

Happy Easter

My best little buddy turns 2.5 years old and enjoyed Easter Sunday this week-end. We took 7 kids that were  visiting or live in the neighborhood for a bike taxi ride, walked the dogs, ate too much and took a nice long nap.  Next week we start Potty Time.

A little history.

Marshall Wright spent over 20 years working for the US Foreign Service.  He was Assistant Secretary of State under Presidents Nixon and Ford.

Mr. Wright had a meeting scheduled with then Minority Leader of the House Gerald Ford.  The day before Representative  Ford had been appointed Vice President by President Nixon after the resignation of Spiro Agnew.  It was assumed, by State, that Ford would not attended the meeting on the day he was to be sworn in as Vice President but when asked Gerald Ford said "I don't have anything else to do before noon."

We all know that Gerald Ford when on to be President of the United States.  He was branded by the Democrats and the media as a do nothing President.  A lot of us believe that four more years of do nothing Gerald Ford would have beat the hell out of Jimmy Carter.

In my book Gerald Ford and Marshall Wright are gentlemen cut from the same cloth.
