This is one of about 20 Pelicans that sun on the point between Wappoo Cut and the Ashley River across from City Marina. I was drifting with the tide, eating lunch after rowing about 6 miles and spotted the gang a few feet from the boat. While I was reaching for my camera they took flight but I caught this one on lift off.
